For this shopping center in Chongqing our strategy came from the process of producing pearls. So the enclosed shopping mall was considered the pearl – for which we chose a smooth and shiny design direction, using light colors and as much glazing as possible; while the shopping galleries around it -much like the sandbank around the pearl – uses rougher, natural materials.
